Marvel’s Spider Man 2 pre-orders: What comes in each edition?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release on October 20. With the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018 and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in 2020, we know that gamers are counting down the months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds, until they can finally get back into the Spider-Man video game universe.
With that being said, pre-orders are now officially live and there are three separate editions that you can purchase.
Standard Edition
I’m sure you are used to the spiel by now, but as always, you always have the options to purchase the Standard Edition of any video game. The Standard Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 consists of just the base game for $69.99. Now if you decide to pre-order the game, you will also get some pre-order bonuses no matter which of the three editions you decide to purchase.
The pre-order bonuses that are being offered are 2 early Spider-Man suit unlocks, access to the Web Grabber Gadget, and 3 Skill Points to help get you started on your adventure. If you are a fan of customization, the additional Spidey suits are cool to have in your collection. Plus, I am sure Skill Points will come in fairly handy, so three more of those from the start should prove to be extremely useful.
Digital Deluxe Edition
Next up is the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is an additional $10 and sits at $79.99. If you have your heart set on purchasing a physical copy on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, this is not going to be the edition that you are looking to purchase. The Digital Deluxe Edition is exactly how it sounds. This edition is only digital.
By pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition, you will get the same pre-order bonuses that you receive for pre-ordering any of the three editions. You will also receive 10 unique Spider-Man suits (5 suits for Peter Parker and 5 suits for Miles Morales), additional Photo Mode items, and an additional 2 Skill Points on top of the 3 additional Skill Points you receive for pre-ordering the game.
For an additional $10, this is a great deal. You get even more suits to add to your collection and you also get an even bigger head start on your adventure. If you don’t mind having to purchase Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 digitally, this may be the route you want to take for the extra $10. Every penny of it seems worth it.
Collector’s Edition
Spider-Man is extremely popular, and I know there are some hardcore Spider-Man fans out there. If you are one of them, you may be looking to purchase the Collector’s Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The Collector’s Edition of Marve’s Spider-Man 2 is truly a collector’s dream. The Collector’s Edition costs $229 but is well worth it if you are a hardcore Spider-Man fan. You get all the additional content that you receive in the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, plus you get a Steelbook Display Case and a 19-inch Collector’s Edition Statue that you can display around your house. The Collector’s Edition Statue appears to be well worth the price on its own.
Now that pre-orders are now available, the choice is completely up to you. Since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, the choice of platform you will be playing on is already made. Now it is up to you if you want to purchase the Standard Edition, Digitial Deluxe Edition, or the Collector’s Edition. Regardless, each edition is going to be loads of fun and keep you entertained for tons of hours.
