We’re just a few days away from the start of Madden Ratings Week when we finally get to see the latest player and team ratings in Madden 24. Leading up to the big event, we’ve been offering our own predictions on who will be the best players at each position, from quarterback to wide receiver to running back.

Now we’ve turned our attention to team ratings as a whole. Today, we’re looking at the AFC, which is home to the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Unlike the NFC, which has seen quite a turnover from Madden 23, the top of the AFC looks similar to last year.

Baltimore Ravens

Ravens fans finally have a receiving corps to play with in Madden 24. It will no longer be just the Lamar Jackson show. Don’t get me wrong, Jackson and his 91 overall/96 speed can single-handedly beat opposing defenses, but now he’s got some weapons to help him out.

The Ravens made three big acquisitions at receiver this offseason: signing Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor and drafting Zay Flowers. These are clear upgrades over what the Ravens trotted out onto the field last season, but I don’t think their ratings will be much higher than the upper 70s. Odell Beckham Jr. is a flashy name, but given his age and injury history, he’s no longer the elite receiver he once was.

The Ravens also have a solid running back group. Although he’s been bitten by the injury bug, J.K. Dobbins is a talented running back. He was only rated 78 in Madden 23 though, and I don’t suspect he’ll get much of a boost.

The Ravens are a solid team, no doubt, but they aren’t quite at the elite level of some of the others on this list. They’ll be fun to play with in Madden 24 though.
