Marvel Snap: 5 Marvel Comic events that would make great Season Passes

Marvel Snap isn’t new to the concept of using events from Marvel Comics or the MCU to create themed season passes, and while not everything they do truly matches the theme (come on, Legion in a Phoenix event?) there’s still a lot of Marvel events that could introduce some really fun cards.

Here are five that, if introduced, I’d probably trip over myself snagging the season passes for.

World War Hulks

Listen, not World War Hulk where Hulk got sent to a gladiator planet. I get it and that’s a story for another time but I’m talking about World War Hulks, with an S. Plural.

While the event itself was kind of silly and involved seeing many popular Marvel characters turned into Hulk variants of themselves, like Spider-Man becoming Spider-Hulk, Iceman becoming Ice-Hulk, and Thing becoming *checks notes* No-Thing. That part is very silly but would also make for a fantastic set of variant cards. I mean, Winter Soldier and Wolverine’s Hulk forms alone would make for some great variants that might FINALLY ween the edgelord off that “rainy Wolverine” avatar.

But as far as new cards are concerned, it could give us the Red Hulk. If you don’t know, Red Hulk is Thunderbolt Ross at his worse, becoming a red version of the Hulk that has almost the exact same abilities. The difference is that while the Hulk is dumb, Red Hulk keeps his intelligence and will often also use weapons. And while the Hulk gets stronger as he gets madder, the Red Hulk’s body temp rises, getting to the point where he can fire heat vision out of his eyes.

This could translate into a Red Hulk card that, while 10 power instead of 12, could also do something like lower the power of one of the cards across the way by a few with his heat vision every turn.
