Starfield: How to respec your character and reset your Skill Points?
Most roleplaying games that offer you the chance to invest skill points into different skills also give you the ability to respec your character. This allows you to reset your character and invest those points into new skills, effectively allowing you to experiment with different builds and playstyles. Starfield features a robust leveling system in which you can unlock more than 80 different skills.
Skills in Starfield are grouped into five categories: Physical, Social, Combat, Science and Tech. Each skill can be upgraded up to four times as long as you complete the associated challenge with your current rank.
But what if you want to respect your character? Are you able to reset your skill points?
How to respec your character in Starfield and reset your Skill Points
Unfortunately, Starfield offers no way to respec your character. This means there’s no way to reset your skill points.
While this may come as a disappointment to many who aren’t totally happy with their current build, the good news is there is no level cap in Starfield. This means you can eventually unlock every skill in the game. So if there’s a particular skill you want to unlock, you just need to work enough for it.
However, it’s worth noting that the higher your level, the more experience it takes to reach the next level. Because leveling starts to slow down, you’ll want to be selective when investing your skills initially. Early on it’s probably okay to experiment a little, but once you discover which skills you like, you may want to focus on increasing those first.
