Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: Strongest in the World quest guide

Side quests are plenty in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. One of them tasks you with taking down a pretty hefty enemy. Although it’s available to pick up at any point, The Strongest in the World side quest isn’t recommended for early gameplay. Below, we take you through how to find and complete it.

How to complete the Strongest in the World quest

In order to start the quest, you’ll want to make your way over to the East Akkala stables and talk to the person practicing their sword. They tell you they need a Lynel horn to make the strongest weapon in the world. Of course,  they aren’t strong enough to do it and they need your help. In order to find a Lynel, which is Zelda’s version of a minotaur, head over to the location below.

Once here, you’ll spot the Lynel walking through the field. Now, one shot takes off about ten hearts so you’ll want to be prepared or you are going to get insta-killed. It helps if you have your avatars from the temples with you as fire can charge at the Lynel and water can help shield you.

Fortunately,  he’s pretty easy to parry with a shield as he telegraphs his swipe attack. This will stun him for a few seconds to let you and your avatars get in some attacks. I also suggest using spears as you get an extended reach and can stay outside of his attack range.

Once you take the Lynel down you will earn a soldier’s claymore and some horns. Fuse the horns to the claymore and return to show it to the sword guy at the stables. He’ll be ecstatic and reward you with 50 rupees for your efforts. Nothing too crazy, but you do get an excellent weapon out of it.

And that’s how you complete The Strongest in the World quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Let us know how far you’ve gotten!
